Students will use the game pieces to play the game by counting the items in each ten frame and matching one number card per ten frame on the game mat.

{Tip 1} Want to switch things up a bit? Instead of game pieces, you could easily use small manipulatives for students to place in the ten frames as they count.

{Tip 2} If game pieces end up everywhere but the file folder game mat, try placing the game on a large tray or cookie sheet instead. That usually does the trick for students unable to figure out space boundaries on their own.
